Recent 1977 B210 Recalls

  • FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP Recall for 1977 NISSAN B210

    • Recall Announced AUGUST 27 2007
    • NHTSA Reference #07E064000
    • Number Affected 34,000

    Summary: Certain federal-mogul aftermarket fuel pumps sold under the brand names of carter, accuflow, Napa, truflow, parts depo, and parts master, shipped between August 2006 and July 2007 for use on the vehicles listed above. The fuel pump diaphragm in certain production runs may have been improperly installed or inadequately tested which may cause the fuel pump to leak.

    Consequence: A leaking fuel pump could create a vehicle fire hazard.

    Fix: Federal-mogul will notify owners and replace the defective fuel pumps free of charge. The recall began on October 15, 2007. Owners can contact federal-mogul at 248-354-7700.

  • FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY:MOUNTING Recall for 1977 NISSAN B210

    • Recall Announced JUNE 01 1983
    • NHTSA Reference #83V058000
    • Number Affected 328,318

    Summary: The left side fuel tank support could become rusty if vehicle is operated in areas where salt is used for snow removal. Support may rust entirely through, allowing tank to tilt down on the left side.

    Consequence: 

    Fix: Upon inspection, corroded support brackets will be replaced with reinforcement and U-shaped brackets.
